Essence of Traditional Zhaobao He Style Tai Chi Chuan
With Master Malee Khow

Traditional Zhaobao He (pronounced like “Jow-bow Her”) style tai chi chuan was created by He Zhaoyuan, an eighth generation disciple of tai chi chuan in Zhaobao village, almost a hundred fifty years ago. Each movement of the form has a collection of large and small, flowing and reversed circular movements. Because of this characteristic, He Style is often called the circular fist form. Master Khow learned He style from Grandmaster Kei Cheong-Sau (Ji Chang-Xiu), originally from Xi’an and now in Hong Kong, and is one of only two people in the United States, and the only person on the east coast, who knows this style of tai chi. She has now created this short, 24 posture form from the traditional long form to introduce the essence of He style. She also plans to make a video of the 72 posture long form.
