Chinese New Year Celebration
On Saturday, February 11th, Malee's School held its thirteenth Chinese New
Year Celebration with a wide variety of performances followed by a Chinese
buffet dinner catered by Dragon Buffet of Manchester.
Performances included a traditional Lion Dance, tai chi and kung fu solo
and group performances by Master Malee's students, a classical Chinese
dance by Asian Performing Arts, piano by kung fu student Mei Lun Mui,
guzheng (Chinese zither) by kung fu student Lilian Cheung, and violin by
tai chi student Kathryn Fausel.
The celebration was open to the public. Over two hundred people were in
attendance. It was held at South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main
Street, in Manchester. Everyone agreed it was the most varied and
entertaining Chinese New Year celebration Malee's School has held to date.
